No. 115 is the companion to No. 114 San Toy and is also meant to be a faux Hakone Moku Zougan maquetry design. Interestingly, the background woodgrain pattern is different than on San Toy. We expected to find a similar literary reference point, but although there are a number of gods, kings and other characters in Asian literature with the name Yama (singular), the only Yama Yama reference we could find was in a song from the 1910 musical comedy The Three Twins. From the refrain, it become clear that the Yama Yama man is a kind of bogeyman, "ready to spring out at you unaware". That seems a highly unlikely characterization of the young boy depicted in this design.

Shape & Rim and Advertising Placement
Like San Toy, known tray examples are all small oblongs (11x14) and have a woodgrain rim that is not oriented to match the face of the tray. Advertising text in gold print usually appears on the rim, although some examples have text appearing on the face. Rectangular TOC signs also exist.
Hager & Price
Hager neither discusses this design nor includes it in his introduction date table, although he does include it in his catalog. While several brewery examples exist, this design appears to have been more popular with a wide variety of non-brewers, including ice cream manufacturers. Prices rarely reach triple figures, even for brewery examples, although there are a few examples. The highest price we’ve seen for this design was $500 for the fairly obscure Mueller-Brothers brewery of Two Rivers, WI.
