We are not sure the of any association from the original company, but great to have a nice tasting beer with a classic advertising presence back available for consumers.

Pictured in the link - Lone Star Light - a great light summer beer with broad distribution underway!

Extremely rare litho factory tray - if anyone has a better picture we would really like to upgrade ours.  Also we are very interested in confirming the tray manufacturer if someone who owns this tray can look for a manufacturers mark on the tray.  We suspect Shonk based on the pattern being similar to many of their trays.

We are very interested in confirming the tray manufacture and dimensions.  The design may be considered a self framing tin versus a tray.  Tango was a non-alcoholic brand made by Lone Star.

Also from the Coahuila Mexico brewery.  Tray is believed to be from the early 1920's.  Suspected to be manufactured by Chas. Shonk given the design similarities to several Shonk pre-pro trays.

We are very interested in confirming a tray manufacture on this tray if anyone has any additional information.  This design reflects the "Going Places" campaign used by Lone Star in the mid-1950's.

Note the use of the logo from the aluminum 'Going Places' tray to the first of the gold trays, "Certified Quality" issued in 1960.  They then moved to the more modern design that was in used until the brewery closed in 1996.

Extremely rare tray.  Sabinas was initially brewed in Coahuila, Mexico, approximately 200 miles southwest of San Antonio in 1908.  The name was not directly connected with beer brewing in San Antonio until right after prohibition where you begin to see the rectangular light blue Sabinas and Travis trays.  Follow this link to find out more about the Sabinas - Lone Star connection.

Extremely rare tray issued by Lone Star to drive their distributors to invest in billboard advertising in their sales markets.  The Image in the square represents what the billboard would look like and the message below refers to advertising terms of what is available.  '24 Sheet' indicated the billboard would be made up of 24 different sheets, that would be applied in a matrix form and resulting in the larger full display.  A single sheet is 27" x 41," so once complete the display would be 20'6" long and 9' high.  (thanks to Joe Philbin for the explanation).

Note the "a million a day" reference once again and the header notation of "3 Million a day..." - we assume the connotation being that Lone Star was challenging distributors to help them increase sales and that investing in billboards was one of the ways they could do so.   Fascinating view into the marketing of the day.

Hard to find version of the common 1967 Yellow, White and Red trays that appears to have been hand stamped to advertise the Oklahoma Lone Star connection.  These were associated with the Oklahoma State Fair that year.
