Meek Co. stock tray No. 97, "A Good Judge." You do see this particular stock image quite often, but this Birk Bros. version is seldom seen. Date estimate is based on manufacturing notes dates and sales catalogs.

There are no manufacturing marks on this tray. Though suspected as a stock design, we have never seen it used on any other advertising - please contact us if you have. Evaluation of the label on the bottle (see below), establishes the date as 1933 - note the slogan below the word "Birk's" of "The Finest of Beers for 42 Years." Birk's name first appeared in 1891 per American Breweries II, so our math leaves us: 1891 + 42 = 1933.
