From the Collection of Michael Solbrig. Meek Co. stock tray No.102, "The Buffalo Hunt." The unusual thing about this tray is that is not the typical 13.5" x 13.5" square, but a 13.5" x 10.5" Rectangle. The only version of this tray we have ever seen as a rectangle. Also we have only seen Michael's, so we designate this as a Unicorn. The dating on this tray is tricky as Meek was a company from 1905 to 1909 and this tray was produced from 1909 to 1912. We surmise that as the Meek Co. changed to its name to American Art Works it had base stock images of this design and others already made and continued to use them despite being stamped as "The Meek Co."
