From the Collection of Mark Rogers. Notes from Dave Kubat: "As far as we know, Falstaff did not produce any serving trays from 1933 to 1946. The first one (this one) was released in 1947. It is bright red, with an image of Sir John serving an ice cold Falstaff, with the catch slogan of "Stop For Falstaff" on the outside." |

From the Collection of Dave Kubat. Nots from Dave Kubat: "This unique tray is a distributor's custom fabricated oval tray. This one is estimated to be made in the late 1940's or early 1950's. Falstaff furnished instructional paperwork to the distributors, that explains how to make such trays. Only two of these are known to exist." |

From the Collection of Sam Marcum. Notes from Dave Kubat: "In 1966, Falstaff and Alcoa came together to do an all aluminum beer can. To coincide with this joint venture, Alcoa created an all aluminum tray with images of 16th century type characters illustrated all over it, with various ones enjoying cans of Falstaff beer. These images were taken from a very scarce, colorful Falstaff /Alcoa aluminum foiled 16" x 24" promotional poster." |

From the Collection of Dave Kubat. Notes from Dave Kubat: "This tray was released in 1975 in concert with Falstaff's involvement with the Indy 500. This tray and many of the plastic ones Falstaff released were not really meant to be serving trays, but instead wall plaques, with this one displaying the (7) racing flags fanned out over the top.
Finding one of these complete with the hanger and flags is extremely rare as the adhesive holding them failed over time.
The lines around the outside edge of the tray are meant to represent the track. The table on the right is a lost of winners of the race from 1911 to 1974." |

From the Collection of a Former Falstaff Employee, courtesy of Dave Kubat. Notes from Dave Kubat: "Plastic oval trays proposed for Falstaff's "American Heritage" Series (1973 - 1974), that are not known to have been produced. Like the Indy tray above they were proposed to be molded plastic in a medium brown faux wood finish, with a large oval vinyl sticker in the middle.
One having a couple of cold mugs of beer with various food items around and the other with a western theme, of a couple of cowboys on horseback roping up a steer. Also on the inside perimeter of the tray, is a grouping of branding marks in a semi-circle around the image."
If you have seen these super rare proposed, not produced in mass trays, please contact us. |

Notes from Dave Kubat: "The tray at the left is from the 53-54 sheet metal blank pressed without the safety edge being rolled. The sides were only formed out about halfway, giving it a flared finish and then a hanger was tacked on the back, thus making it into wall plaque. Since this is the only one of these known, the question are was it a manufacturer's proposed sample to Falstaff or just an employee having fun one day?" |
