From the Collection of Mark Rogers. Haeusermann Litho Co. stock tray. |
After research, we found these trays are from a hotel, not a bar or bottler. These two trays are often thought to be beer related, but they are not - so we include them here simply to set the record straight. Great stock trays, but Kelly House was a Hotel, not a bar. It is interesting that after it was hotel it was a bottling operation named "J.S. Kelly Bottling Works."
From a self-guided tour instructions sheet of interesting properties in Medina Falls, NY. It notes as it directs you to look at the property at 135 E. Center Street in person or via Google Earth:
"Medina House and then the Kelly House (hotels), J.S. Kelly Bottling Works, J. Jay Walker (farm and auto sales), Anderson & Funnell (autos), The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co., Bramer Electric, Canal Country Artisans, and today it is Filomena’s Favorites." Update - as of this page build the building is currently an antique store named "Modern Mercantile."
