Tray image & Eskimo Pie sign Courtesy of Morean Auctions.  Per the PBC website, the brewery stayed in business by diversifying into other products.

"Pittsburgh Brewing Company developed other products including producing ice cream, soft drinks, “near” beer, and operating a cold storage business. They operated as a subsidiary under the name of Tech Food Products Company, allowing them to emerge from prohibition.

Tech Food Products was bought by the Borden Dairy Company in 1945."

Per the Pittsburgh Brewing Co. website, the Pittsburgh Brewing Co. was formed as a merger of 21 different local breweries on February 9th, 1899.

The three that we see the most breweriana from are:

We have created a separate page for each in an attempt to document them in an organized manner while preserving their unique lineage.
