Comments: This is by
far the harder of the two Dawson Couples trays to find.
Check
this link for a comparison of the two. This and its variation with the
brunettes are both attractive trays and quite popular with
collectors. Hmm - appears there is another variation on this tray. There is a version which has four dimples in it which act as little feet to keep the tray from scratching and most likely from sticking when placed on a wet surface. I tried to buy it from Dan Morean when he posted one on his site, but someone beat me to the punch. Dan indicates the dimpled version is from the 1930's. He should know being a former Boston guy.
