Comments: One of four Rheingold Cartoon trays from the 1930's (as far as I know there are only 4). Hit this link to see a nice view of all four from the series. There are other cartoons from the same artist on coasters which I have seen, but I have not seen any other trays. I will keep looking however. The artist was O. Soglow, who had a comic strip called The Little King. A very popular tray with collectors. Hmm - I wonder how the marriage is working out??? My buddy Ruddy snagged this one and the parade version for me. I find it strange that the other three trays in this series are red and black and this one is red and blue. | ||
