Comments: Now this
particular tray illustrates the difference between a near mint condition tray
and a beater. This one looks pretty good for what I paid for it (~$200),
however if were in Near Mint Condition it would sell for over a grand easy
(actually on 8/29/02, one sold on eBay for $2,000). I will upgrade at some point I hope, but $2,000 seems pretty high. A couple of other very cool National trays out there too. This one certainly captures the spirit of the Wild West. This tray is pictured as a round version in the book Advertising Trays by Tom Polansky (it is the cover tray of the book), however I think it may be the tip tray. Let me know if you have more scoop on this tray than I do and I will get it added to the site. |
