Comments: Now this is a tough tray. You see the great Diehl with the ethereal woman spreading her arms for a bottle of Chrst Diehl beer quite often, but not this one. To date (12/04) I have only seen this tray one other time and it was really in bad shape. Picked this one off of eBay and was surprised it did not go higher. This is a great tray depicting Fort Defiance in 1794, with a quote just to the left of the bottle by Gen. Mad Anthony Wayne - "I defy the English, Indians and the devils in Hell to take it. Gen. Scott - "Then call it Fort Defiance." So this begs the question, what is the relation of this tray with the tray from Wayne, PA? More research is required. | ||
