Grading Trays

Hmmm - one on the left is about a 5.0 and the one on the right is a strong 9.0.

The Trayman strongly believes Good Ideas are Borrowed and Great Ideas are Stolen. Therefor rather than inventing his own grading system, he shamelessly stole Ruddy's at www.oldbeerstuff.com. This system is used in the rating of trays for sale. In the Tray Details pages the Trayman simply ranks them Mint, Near Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good and Poor. Find below the scale Ruddy uses.

10.0 No damage to subject matter or face of item (Mint). May show insignificant harm to non-displayable portion of piece.
9.5 Shows very minor or insignificant harm to subject matter or face of item (Near Mint).
9.0 9 Shows minimal harm to subject matter or face of item (Excellent +).
8.5 Shows harm to be minor and to be a very displayable item. Above average condition (Excellent).
8.0 Shows some harm to face of item but still displayable. Average condition (Very Good +).
7.5 Shows harm to subject matter, but still displayable to the average collector (Very Good).
7.0 Displayable item but has damage and should be considered as such to the advanced collector (Good).
6.5 Shows damage and should be considered a piece to be upgraded (Fair).
